Bead Table Saturday

Yes, I know it's supposed to be Bead Table Wednesday....but I was at my REAL worktable on Wednesday..so here's a few quick pics of what I'm working on right now, as it's snowing outside (again) and I have absolutely NO inclination to go out...and I'm trying to save money for that upcoming $3000 dental bill anyway:

Those little orange stars are about 1/2" wide; the jump ring beside them is a 6mm if that gives you any indication.

These are the first of many, for a beading contest running currently in Beadwork Magazine . It is their 15th anniversary; they will be running beaded bead patterns in all issues in 2012 and then you create a piece with each of the five different beads, to be judged. 

Right up my alley I thought!

So far, I have one completed bead from the Feb/Mar first issue, and the above is the second one I'm working on.

My Bead Soup has arrived!

Woo-hoo! I received my Bead Soup from Marie last night! Today was not a particularly good day to photograph, being dull and gray..but I wanted to get these gems up online, so it is what it is. :-)

I LOVE her ephemera pieces!...and I hit the motherlode with her package to me....

AND she sent a batch of other wonderful goodies as well! All arranged in their bags as little suggested "kits". 

As my heritage is French, those Eiffel Tower pieces are particularly speaking to me...and the dragonfly one (I love dragonflies) and.....the bird....

And I have lots of incipient ideas about how to add some seed beading to it all.....

I'm sure it's because of all your crossed appendages, as I NEVER win at lotteries! Thank you, thank you, thank you....I'm really excited about this opportunity.

Here is my partner Marie-Noel's beautiful blog ; how funny that she lives in Calgary! Lori Anderson couldn't possibly have known....but I lived in Calgary for more than 35 years, until 2004 when I was transferred here to Ontario by my company at the time. Some of my family still lives there.

I am drooling over her gorgeous pieces of jewelry and handmade focals...and hoping to be able to send her some things she will enjoy using! Our styles are completely different~so this should be a good exercise for both of us.

New bracelet!

Now I feel as though I've started the New Year right...doing something I love to do! This is Silverlace...silver plated delicas, swarovski Tanzanite crystals in the edging, and a Swarovski button closure.

As always, a benefit for the National Inclusion Project . This one is $40 if someone is interested prior to the next benefit Gala.

And....a productive day today!

This is Tiny Baubles....chunky silverplated chain, beaded beads created from seed beads, fire polish and swarovski crystal. Very adaptable because of the front slide closure.

Cross your fingers for me!

After enjoying Lori Anderson's Bead Soup Blog Party for several iterations, I've decided to try and join the party this time. This spring, it is decided by lottery, after having over 500 "players" last go-round!
If you know me, you know my "luck" (or not!!) with lotteries....so I'll need all the crossed fingers I can get!

I will know if my application was successful Jan 15th-ish.

In the meantime, I watch Celebrity Apprentice reruns and advertising, and wish my life away...and work on these!

Hee....you'd think I have a color theme happening here or something!!
